Tigray forces adopt a multi-pronged strategy to reach Addis Ababa

Tigray forces are trying to follow the strategy to reach Addis Ababa, which they adopted in 1991 to enter Addis Ababa in order to remove Mengistu Haile Mariam. It seems that TDF has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to reach Addis Ababa. TDF could storm Addis Ababa from 3 directions.

While TDF & OLA have taken control of Kemisee, Senbete & Ataye in the Oromia Special Zone of Amhara region, TDF & OLA are now moving towards Shewa Robit. From Shewa Robit, Tigray forces will try to reach Addis Ababa through Debre Berhan.

But in 1991, Tigray forces reached Addis Ababa from Alem Ketema. While Tigray fighters claim to have taken control of Were Ilu, from here they are heading towards Degolo. town. After Degolo, the next likely target would be Alem Ketema for onward advance to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
