China joins Ethiopian govt’s #NoMore campaign

China has joined the Ethiopian government’s #NoMore campaign. Chinese state media and Chinese officials have, over the past few days, shared statements in support of the campaign. While Ethiopia is under pressure from the West and US to end the Tigray war, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Ethiopia last week and demanded non-interference in Ethiopian internal matters.

NoMore campaign was launched as a social media campaign but it has turned into a movement. Ethiopians in and out of the country are protesting, under the banner of this movement, against alleged intervention in Ethiopian internal matters by the US and western countries.

Pro Tigray voices reject this campaign saying that the Ethiopian government has launched this campaign to get a license to continue its human rights abuses and atrocities against Tigray and Tigrayans.
