Ahadu Bank of Ethiopia has increased the buying price of US Dollar to 125 Birr. The is the highest dollar buying price by any private bank in Ethiopia. Ahadu Bank is buying one dollar at 125 Birr and selling it for 130 birr.
Following the decision that the foreign exchange rate in Ethiopia is determined by the market, the competition between banks has increased and the dollar exchange rate has been constantly increasing.
From private banks, Ahadu Bank is the first bank, which buys 125 birr for one dollar and sells for 130 birr, while Amara Bank is the second bank, buying for 113 birr and selling for 125 birr.
The state-owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia is buying one dollar at 112 birr and selling it at 123 birr.
