Emebet Melese has been appointed as the President of the Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBA). She was recently appointed as the President of the Nib Bank. She will assume charge as DBA President on October 09. The Ministry of Finance has issued her appointment letter.
Emebet served as the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Transformation of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia too.
Emebet is replacing Yohannes Ayalewu, who served as president of Development Bank for 4 years. Yohannes announced his resignation from DBA recently, citing personal reasons. He is now serving at the CEO of Amhara Bank.
