Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has called for a meeting of IGAD to discuss the Tigray conflict on November 16. Yoweri Museveni tried to mediate Ethiopia’s Tigray conflict in November last year but PM Abiy Ahmad’s Ethiopian government rejected his mediation offer. Meanwhile, IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu, former foreign minister of Ethiopia, has also called for a cessation of hostilities in Ethiopia.
