Drivers are being stopped from loading coffee in a city in Southern Ethiopia. Drivers said that vehicles heading to Tepi city to load coffee were blocked from moving. Many drivers who were heading to the place to load coffee from the warehouse of the Ethiopian produce market located in Tepi are struggling.
Reportedly it has been a month since the drivers have been facing this problem. Around 25 days ago, trucks heading to the city of Tepi in the South West Region to load coffee were stopped from moving.
Some drivers are being denied entry into Tepi. Those who managed to enter the town weeks ago are still there. They loaded coffee but they were not allowed to depart. The vehicle owners and drivers say they do not know why they are being stopped.
