Addis Ababa Extends Deadline for Motorcycle Driving License Renewal

Addis Ababa government has extended the renewal period of special digital driving license for motorcycle owners.

The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority announced yesterday that the renewal period of the special digital driving license for motorcycles had been extended. The authority said that in June, 1,126 licenses of motorcycle owners were renewed and 129 were given new driving licenses.

Earlier deadline for motorcycle owners to renew their special digital driving license was July 07, 2024. The officials say that the renewal of driving license of motorcycle owners has been extended for an indefinite period.

The digital license is renewed every year. The traffic management authority has urged the vehicle owners, who have not renewed their licenses so far, to get them renewed immediately. It said actions will be taken on those who drive in the city without having their driving licenses renewed.
