Turkey has once again offered to support for a peaceful solution to Ethiopia’s Tigray conflict through dialogue. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu yesterday contacted his Ethiopian counterpart Demeke Mekonen by phone. According to Turkish news sources, the Turkish Foreign Minister, in the telephonic conversation, called for a peaceful resolution to the Ethiopian conflict and offered to support to that end.

So far Turkey has not contacted Tigray leadership. Turkey is one of the largest investors in Ethiopia. Turkish company Yapı Merkezi is working on Awash-Kombolcha-Hara Gebaya Railway Project in Ethiopia.
