The Ethiopian Commercial Bank (CBE) was defeated in the CAF Women’s Champions League. CBE lost to Nigeria’s Edo Queens.
The Nigerian team beat Ethiopian Commercial Bank Women team by 3-0. Folashed Ijamilusi, Chukwamaka Osigwe scored three goals to win Edo Queens. All three goals were scored before the break. This is the first loss by East African Representative in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Edo Queens and FC Masar won while CBE and Mamelodi Sundowns lost in Group Two.
Ethiopia Commercial Bank is at the bottom of the table after beating Mamelodi Sundowns by goal difference in Group Two.
Ethiopia Commercial Bank will play the second group game on Thursday at 11:00 am against the representative of South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns.
