The Commercial Bank Ethiopia (CBE) is going to fire Commercial Nominees, reportedly. The commercial nominees work for the CBE in various positions.

Commercial Nominees PLC was established by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Construction & Business Bank in 1965. Its headquarter is located in Addis Ababa with 32 branches all over the country. It provides specialized services through its nominees. It specializes in Outsourced Employment Service, Property Administration, Buying and selling buildings, Agent banking , Share dealing, Fund administration , Payment services, Revenue collection service, Money transfer , Event organization, and Company Business Management

Commercial Nominees PLC has announced that thousands of employees employed by the Commercial Bank Ethiopia are going to be dismissed. The workers will be laid off from the 1st of September 2024.

Commercial nominees say that they have heard that their employment contracts will be terminated. No formal statement has been issued so far by the CBE about the fate of Commercial nominees.
