Ethiopian Airlines will introduce the Airbus A350-1000 this month, marking a significant milestone in African aviation. This aircraft, named “Ethiopia Land of Origins,” is the first in Africa. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew emphasizes that this acquisition is part of the airline’s strategy to enhance its fleet and expand international routes.
The Airbus A350-1000 has a capacity of 400 seats, designed to accommodate both business and economy passengers efficiently. It features advanced technologies that elevate the travel experience. The aircraft’s impressive range of approximately 8,000 nautical miles allows for non-stop flights between major global hubs, minimizing travel layovers.
Ethiopian Airlines has been proactive in enhancing its fleet over the years. Ethiopian Airlines operates twenty A350-900 aircraft and has been utilizing them for seven years, with the addition of airbus A350-1000. The airline covers 139 international and 22 domestic flights, operating a total of 147 flights.
Starting November 3, 2024, Ethiopian Airlines will introduce the A350-1000 on select flights from Addis Ababa to London Heathrow. This route will feature increased business class seating, reflecting the airline’s dedication to providing a premium travel experience.
