9 armed Ethiopian groups are set to sign an agreement today to continue the joint struggle against Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmad. The 9 groups include Tigray Defence Force, Oromo Liberation Army, Agew Liberation Front, Kemant fighters, Sidama National Liberation Front, Gambela Liberation Front, Gumuz People’s Democratic movement, Somali People’s Liberation Front, and a group from Afar region. Most of these groups are armed groups. It would be more of a military alliance than a political one. Meanwhile, an Oromo political party OLF, Oromo Liberation Front, has issued a statement telling Tigray forces not to set foot in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Tigray forces and an Oromo armed group OLA are advancing towards the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, for which they will have to pass through the Oromia region.
