Yohannes Ayalew cited personal reasons when he resigned from the Development Bank. Dr. Yohannes’ tenure at the Ethiopian Development Bank began on September 12, 2020. He succeeded Haileyesus Bekele, who had resigned. He is a notable economist and banker. He has held key positions in the financial sector, including vice governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia.
