In the Amhara region, a ceremony rewarded students who performed well in the 2016 grade 12 examinations. President Arega Kebede spoke at the event and highlighted education as the key to building a knowledgeable and scientific society. He acknowledged that many schools struggled to meet their goals last year. However, the president praised Zega’s initiatives for helping to create a generation free from political influence. He congratulated the high-achieving students and thanked those who supported them.
In central Ethiopia, students who performed exceptionally well in the grade 12 and 8 examinations also received awards for their achievements. Zones that excelled in educational initiatives, such as the “Education for Generation” movement and the “One Book for One Student” campaign, received recognition and certificates for their significant contributions.
