Tigray forces say they have shot down a Mi 35 gunship helicopter of the Ethiopian air force

Tigray Defence Force is claiming to have shot down a gunship helicopter of the Ethiopian air force. According to Getachew Reda, Tigray Presidential Spokesperson, air defense systems of Tigray forces today shot down a Mi-35 gunship helicopter of the Ethiopian air force on Mille front. Mille is situated on strategic Ethiopia-Djibouti road. For the last 10 days, Tigray forces have been trying to advance towards Mille to cut off the road. Tigray forces are in possession of some anti-aircraft weapons including Igla MANPAD and ZU 23-2 anti-aircraft guns which can shoot down a low flying helicopter or plane.
