The Lideta Federal High Court has charged six individuals for allegedly attempting to compromise the security of Ethiopian Airlines. The Ministry of Justice, through the prosecutor for organized and cross-border affairs, filed the charges against them.
The charges include illegal possession of an aircraft and obstructing a government employee in the performance of their duties. Additionally, the first accused faces charges for sharing a video online that aimed to damage the airline’s reputation.
The accused individuals for allegedly attempting to compromise the security of Ethiopian Airlines are Yohannes Daniel (also known as John Daniel), Emanuel Outs, Nathaniel Wardwon, Elias Driba, Yeddia Ebernet, and Eleni Knefe. The prosecution has presented the case against them, citing violations of various articles of criminal law, including article 32 (subscription 1/a), article 35, and article 507, subtitle 1.
