The Addis Ababa Police has announced road closures in connection with the Great Run in Ethiopia. The Great Ethiopian Run is an annual 10-kilometre road running event which takes place in late November in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. It has become the biggest road race in Africa.
The Great Run of Ethiopia, which has its starting point and destination at Meskel Square, will be held on Sunday November 17. It will be attended by many local and foreign participants, ambassadors, and invited athletes.
Following Roads will remain closed till the end of road race:
-From Olympia Square to Meskel Square (Olympia Square)
– From Tilahun square to Saint Joseph (Tilahun square) for heavy vehicles Agona Cinema
– From African Union Electricity to Mexico Square (Bullet House Crossroads)
– From Konson’s shelter to Gabriel (Konson’s refuge)
From women’s square to Kazanchis (women’s square)
– From Women’s Square to Kazanchis Total (Women’s Square)
– From 22 square or Zerihun building to Urael square (Zerihun building crossroad)
– The new road from Peacock to Urael Square (Peacock light)
– From Gazebo Square to Dembel (Gazebo Square)
– From Kirkos church cross to Legehar mebrat (Kirkos church nerk tera)
– From Landmark Hospital to Genet Hotel or Genet Mbrat (Landmark Hospital Crossroads)
– From African Union Electricity to Mexico Square (Mexico Bullet Factory Crossroads)
