Three Ethiopian students participated in the Huawei International ICT competition in Shenzhen, China this week. They competed in the computing track. The Ethiopian team won the third prize and shared the prize with teams from Malaysia, Mexico, and Kenya.
The event took place from May 22 to 26, 2024. Participants from across the globe joined in three competition categories: Innovation, Network, and Computing.
Ethiopian students from Arba Minch and Addis Ababa Science and Technology Universities participated in the Huawei International ICT competition in Shenzhen, China. Today, they returned home after winning the third prize.
According to the Ministry of Education, it plans to collaborate with global organizations to encourage more student participation in international competitions. The goal is to provide opportunities for Ethiopian students to showcase their skills and abilities on the world stage.
By creating more opportunities for international exposure and competition, the ministry aims to equip the next generation with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving global landscape.
