Ethiopian Cargo Extends Partnership with Liege Airport

Today, Ethiopian Airlines, one of Africa’s largest carriers, announced to extended its partnership agreement with Liege Airport in Belgium. This move reinforces Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services’ standing as a prominent freight operator serving the European market. The airline’s cargo division has been a key player in connecting Africa with the rest of the world through its extensive network and efficient logistics services. By renewing its partnership with Liege Airport, a major cargo hub, Ethiopian Airlines demonstrates its commitment to expanding its cargo operations and strengthening its presence in Europe.

According to the airline, in 2023, Ethiopian Cargo transported around 160,000 tons of cargo from Liege Airport. The airline used its advanced Boeing 777F aircraft to connect various continents, including Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East, through its operations at Liege.

Ethiopian Airlines has revealed its significant contribution to the economic progress of the continent. The airline’s extensive operations and strategic partnerships have played a pivotal role in driving economic growth and development across various regions of Africa.

Last week, Ethiopian Airlines announced that they have reduced the shipping fee for coffee products sent to Asia and the Middle East. Ethiopian Airlines offered a $1.5 per kilogram discount on cargo services for coffee products.
