Ethiopian Airlines has launched new direct flights, making travel more convenient for passengers in northern Ethiopia. Starting today, July 20, 2024, travelers can fly directly from Bahir Dar to Dessie/Kombolcha and from Mekelle to Shire.
These new routes operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Last month in June 2024, Ethiopian Airlines inaugurated new domestic flights service to Nekemte Gudina Tumsa International Airport in the Oromia region. The construction of Nekemte Gudina Tumsa International Airport was completed at a cost of 1.3 billion birr. This new route is operating four times per week, providing increased connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling to and from Nekemte.
By strategically adding new routes within Ethiopia, the national carrier aims to provide greater accessibility and convenience for travelers across the country.
