Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it will begin daily flights to Port Sudan starting on October 15, 2024. This new route will enhance the airline’s network across Africa and strengthen economic ties in the region.
The first flight, ET350, will depart from Addis Ababa at 11:00 AM and arrive in Port Sudan at 12:15 PM. The return flight, ET351, will leave Port Sudan at 2:15 PM and reach Addis Ababa at 5:30 PM. Both flights will be operated using modern Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, stated, “By launching daily flights to Port Sudan, we are connecting cultures and economies. This expansion shows our dedication to serving Africa and promoting growth.”
With the addition of Port Sudan, Ethiopian Airlines now serves 66 destinations in Africa. Port Sudan is an important commercial hub along the Red Sea, making this route significant for trade and tourism.
Last month, Ethiopian Airlines announced six weekly flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh, starting November 1, 2024. The airline will operate these flights using the modern Boeing B787 Dreamliner for a comfortable travel experience.
