Ethiopian Airlines Expands Presence in Botswana

Ethiopian Airlines has expanded its African network by introducing flights to Maun. Maun is the airline’s 65th destination in Africa. It is also the airline’s second destination in Botswana, after Gaborone. The airline operates a fleet of 147 aircraft, serving 136 international and 22 domestic destinations.

Ethiopian Airlines has recently launched flights to Maun, a popular tourist destination in Botswana. CEO of Airlines, Mesfin Tassew, highlighted the airline’s commitment to expanding its international and continental route network. By connecting Africa through air transport, the company aims to accelerate free trade and economic integration across the continent.

Last month, Ethiopian Airlines expanded its services by launching new flights from Addis Ababa to Freetown, Sierra Leone, with a stopover in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Moreover, in the last week of May 2024, Ethiopian Airlines announced two new domestic routes as well. Ethiopian Airlines, the national carrier of Ethiopia, has announced plans to launch flights to the city of Nekemte in the Oromia region. The new route will commence on June 17, 2024. Whereas, Ethiopian Airline also resumed their flights to the Axum in the Tigray region on June 1, 2024.
