Ethiopia: Tigray forces have advanced towards the strategic Ethiopia-Djibouti road. According to Tigray-backed news sources, Tigray fighters have managed to advance to Mille town.
Mille town is situated in the Afar region of Ethiopia, and the Ethiopia-Djibouti road passes through this town. The bulk of Ethiopian imports and exports move along this road from and to Djibouti. Tigray fighters have been trying to cut off this strategic road for several months.
So far Ethiopian government or the Tigray government has not issued any official statements in this regard. It is a huge development in the ongoing Ethiopia-Tigray war which began almost a year ago. Meanwhile, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta is in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. He arrived in Addis a few hours ago. He is trying to mediate the Ethiopian conflict. Rapid developments are happening in Ethiopia.
