The conference is scheduled to take place from June 3 to June 14, 2024, at the ILO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ethiopia is selected to join the executive council of the International Labour Organization (ILO). This council decides what the International Labour Organization will do for the next three years, including who will be the director of the organization.
Moreover, Ethiopia chooses to participate in the executive council, demonstrating its commitment to workers’ rights and its desire to contribute to decisions that benefit workers worldwide. By being part of the executive council, Ethiopia will have a say in what the International Labour Organization does to improve working conditions and protect workers.
