The Ministry of Trade and Continuous Relations of Ethiopia has signed a $10 million agreement with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). This deal aims to enhance the competitiveness of agricultural and mixed agricultural products.
Mr. Han Deog Cho, the director of KOICA in Ethiopia, noted the historic ties between the two countries. He mentioned that Ethiopian soldiers have fought for Korea, paying a heavy price.
Mr. Han stated that this agreement will strengthen the friendship between Korea and Ethiopia. It will support sustainable development efforts and accelerate economic growth in Ethiopia. He highlighted Korea’s commitment to aiding Ethiopia’s economic progress.
Kassahun Gofe, the Minister of Trade and Continuous Relations, said this agreement shows a strong relationship between the two nations. He believes it will significantly benefit Ethiopia’s agricultural sector by improving quality infrastructure and increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products.
