Ethio Telecom has increased the prices for replacing the lost SIM card. The cost has risen from 15 birr to 85 birr. Similarly, Ethio Telecom also increased the prices for issuing the new SIM card from 30 birr to 85 birr. However, the prices for the lowest package options, which are 3 and 5 birr, have not changed.
At the start of this week, Ethio Telecom shared the news about the revision of tarrif. Ethio Telecom assured the public that most people would not feel the impact of this price change. The adjustments will follow principles of proportionality and digital inclusion.
Moreover, Ethio Telecom stated that 22 service packages will remain unchanged. However, at that time, it did not specify the percentage increase or which services would be affected. This decision comes in response to fluctuations in the foreign exchange market, prompting necessary price adjustments.
