Dr. Mengesha Ayene Appointed as Bahir Dar University President

New President of Bahir Dar university has been appointed. Ministry of Education made this appointment this week.

A letter from Berhanu Nega, Minister of Education, is in circulation showing the new appointment. According to the letter, Dr. Mengesha Ayene has been appointed as the caretaker President of Bahirdar University. Dr. Mengesha served as the president of Wollo University too.

Bahir Dar university is one of the largest institutions in Ethiopia, it is home to 52,830 students, dispatched in 104 undergraduates disciplines, 176 masters and 86 PhD programs.
