Addis Ababa government has made decisions on 3 main agenda points at a meeting of the city government cabinet. The decisions were made during the 14th regular meeting of the cabinet.
The city administration has made a decision about the length of distance from the road on the main roads of the city. The cabinet approved regulations about managing street lights and infrastructure. Decisions were made about cleaning and maintenance, disposal of garbage, road use etc.
In another move, Addis Ababa government closed 41 schools. The Addis Ababa Education Quality Control Authority has announced that 41 schools in Addis Ababa are banned from registering for 2025 academic year. Teaching activities have been banned at these schools because the schools allegedly violated education policy and failed to meet required standards. Students who were studying in the banned schools will be adjusted at private and public schools near their homes without any extra charges.
